Pondicherry and Auroville

I always had a dream to visit Pondicherry – the French quarters – and eat authentic French pastry in India!

Auroville is also a place that caught my attention – a place imagined to be perfect, a place where people could live in Harmony conceptualized by the spiritual leader Mirra Alfassa, that all aurovillians call: The Mother.

Well, but before sharing my opinion about what I saw in these two places, let us satisfy the stomach first. Namitha and I will reveal you the places where we ate.

Our fauvorite place in Pondicherry was Baker Street and in Auroville it was Bread & Chocolate. We explored other places as well and did not come back with a kilo or two because we walked a lot.

From Goa you can take a flight to Chennai and then hire a taxi from the airport to Pondy. From Pondicherry to Auroville is just 25 minutes by car.
